What Can Be Said?

What can be said of the love of the Father

who gave His own son to die for the world?

What can be said of the grace and the mercy

Our Abba Father pours out on us all?

What can be said of the peace of this Father,

the peace of a faith in the Sole Faithful One?

What can be said of the wondrous riches

that He holds out for those who hold on?

What can be said? What can be sung?

What can be said? What can be done?

No words, No song, Nothing, Nothing at all

Can fully describe this wondrous love.

Who can discern the way of the Savior,

the path that He calls each believer to walk?

Who can explain the words of His teaching,

the meaning behind each tale that He told?

Who will rest in each promise He’s given,

of peace, of wholeness, of life without end?

Who can behold the Lamb of Atonement,

hung on the tree with the bonds of love?

What can be said? What can be sung?

What can be said? What can be done?

No words, No songs, Nothing at all

Can fully describe this wondrous love

Where can you see the Spirit of Love,

in the Word of Salvation and Body of Christ?

Where can you see the Spirit of Freedom

work in the hearts of the Children of God?

Where can you hear the Spirit of Power

calling you on to bring the good news of hope?

Will you you feel the Sword of the Spirit,

cutting your heart and showing you truth?

Where are the ones He’s called you to reach

and call them home with songs of love?

When will you hear the whispering Spirit

and go and shout out the word of the Lord?

When will you speak to those unbelieving,

your story of grace, of kindness and change?

What words will you find to brighten their hearts,

to enliven their souls with the story of God?

What can be said? What can be sung?

What can be said? What can be done?

No words, No songs, Nothing at all…

Can fully describe this wondrous love
